About our members

You Are

Drawn to the humanitarian and health needs of this crisis You believe everything in our lives impacts our health and want to work on things that improve health and wellbeing for everyone.

Experienced with human centered design. You’ll be able to lead, suggest, or participate in a variety of methods. You begin with empathy. You are committed to iterations, not perfection.

Comfortable with ambiguity You can get started on a challenge without knowing where it might end up. You can work with and around different systems and players and work to make sense of what you learn and hear.

Someone who starts with questions, not answers You practice beginner’s mind and start with curiosity around the people involved and their needs, hopes, fears, and goals.

Willing to roll up your sleeves There’s no job to unglamorous and you’ll be willing to pitch in on your team to ensure success. We also know everyone has different amounts of time and different skills to offer and appreciate that those may be fluid in these uncertain times.

Committed to sharing and shipping This crisis demands an urgent response. We know you’re someone who likes only deliver their best, most polished work. But in this effort, perfect cannot be the enemy of good.

You’ll work…

On urgent needs with an eye for sustainable solutions You’ll get a chance to work on things that make life better and safer for individuals and families. You’ll get a chance to work on things that make delivering and receiving healthcare safer, more human, less siloed, and more effective. You’ll get a chance to work on things that help improve the health and wellbeing of our communities including social systems, essential businesses, and how we come together virtually.

In this way… You’ll work open and collaboratively. You’ll value the input, guidance, and feedback from others. You’ll celebrate the work of others as they celebrate your contributions too.

With… an amazing community of others who share a passion for solving problems in a human-centered, design driven way. You’ll get to work with other doctors, front line providers, service and experience designers, product managers and project managers, graduate and medical students, and every part of the EDC community.
