EDC Community Grand Challenge

Inspiration Phase

The EDC has launched a 4 week community design challenge as an opportunity for our community to mobilize and solve around a pressing need arising due to COVID-19.

How might we help K-12 students, their teachers, and parents stay healthy, safe and engaged during the pandemic?

Let’s get inspired!

The start of any solid design challenge beings with inspiration. We’re looking for links, articles, posts, stories, and images which have affected your thinking about this challenge. We want to hear how those sources of inspiration have change or impacted your thinking. And, if you have some initial ideas for potential solutions, it is never too early to share them.

How will this get used?

We have teams actively launching around this challenge. If you are interested in starting or joining a team, visit the challenge page to get involved. We also know you may not have the time to be part of a team-based effort. By sharing inspiration here, you’ll be sharing with the entire EDC community including challenge teams. Together, we’ll be looking for patterns, insights, and places to start empathy-based research.

Want to see all the submissions?

Join the challenge as a new team or part of a team and you’ll be added to a special inspiration slack channel and mural board where each of these inspirations is shared and discussed.

Of course, you can also just share your inspiration and check in later to see how this important community effort is progressing.
