Executive Director
AMANDA SAMMANN M.D., M.P.H.
Amanda holds degrees from Stanford University, Columbia University and the University of California, San Francisco, where she completed her surgical training. She spent two years as the Medical Fellow and Medical Director at the Silicon Valley design firm, IDEO where she honed her design skills. Amanda has spent a lifetime trying to make things better – building novel content, developing training curriculum and worked on dozens of healthcare systems challenges. She has spent some of the most spectacular and rewarding days of her life at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital.
Executive Director
NICK DAWSON
Nick works at the forefront of healthcare system innovation: bringing design thinking to healthcare providers, policy makers, and industry leaders as a way to solve our most intractable, wicked problems. He is the Executive Director of Innovation for Kaiser Permanente. Previously, Nick led the Innovation Hub at Johns Hopkins Medicine, and was Program Chair of Stanford’s Medicine X program. He worked with President Obama’s White House on health policy, ebola response, and the opioid crisis.
