The COVID-19 pandemic has led to the cancellation of thousands of community blood drives, leading to intermittent severe shortages of blood. You might be inspired to plan your own blood drive…but where do you start? And how can you make sure everyone stays safe?

This playbook is for you.

After holding a series of successful blood drives during COVID-19, medical students Hope Schwartz and Anya Greenberg have filled this playbook with practical advice and tips on planning your own blood drive. You can preview and download playbook below.

This is an open source effort and we would love your feedback.

If you are willing, enter your email below so we can keep in touch, hear how your blood drive went, and improve this playbook. We promise no spam!

TEAM MEMBERS: Anya Greenberg (medical student, blood drive planner), Hope Schwartz (medical student, blood drive planner), Katie McCurdy (UX writing, production), Bianca Pasternack (layout, Illustrations); feedback and help from Abbe Don and Ben Alpers
